As the CNC Tool and Production presetter your duties will encompass the preparation of tooling and tooling components for production, ensuring accurate tool data is available and minimizing setup time for our CNC machines, thereby improving productivity and quality. 

• Tool Preparation:

  • Prepares and changes perishable tools and tooling components needed by production. 

  • Ensures all required tooling and consumables are available for the production run. 

  • Assembles tooling for distribution to the shop floor. 

  • Inspects tools for sharpness and damage. 

• Tool Data Management:

  • Determines and records exact tool geometry data using a tool presetter. 

  • Ensures accurate data transfer to CNC machines for precise manufacturing. 

• Inventory Control:

  • Assists with inventory control and replenishment for tooling and miscellaneous items. 

• Other Duties:

  • May perform crib attendant duties as required. 

  • Prepares setup carts with tooling for upcoming production runs. 

  • May be responsible for mounting, aligning, and securing tools in production presses.
